About the blank-fire safety
This blank-fire safety device is a tool that makes it much easier to avoid blank shots with the Mey Interceptor when installed and used correctly.
To do this, it is inserted first into the crossbow magazine and takes the place of the first two loaded bolts.
The orange signal color gives the user a visual indication when looking into the crossbow as soon as there are no more bolts in the magazine.
If the crossbow is accidentally cocked more often than there are bolts loaded, the dead-fire safety device offers additional safety by actively catching the string during the cocking process and in most cases prevents the cocking process.
use
The blank shot safety is used to reduce the probability of blank shots with the Mey Interceptor. It supplements the crossbow's magazine with a signal and catching device that serves to visually indicate in the event of an incorrect estimate of the number of bolts in the magazine, to catch the string during the cocking process and thus prevent this.
This is an additional safeguard, not a replacement for correct use of the crossbow!
The safety is not designed to be regularly pulled into the catch hook. This can cause damage to the safety, the string and the magazine.
The need to count the shots fired and therefore to reload the magazine before activating the safety is not eliminated by the use of this safety.
The safety only serves to act as the last hurdle before an accidental blank shot is fired in the event of operator error, reducing the probability of the error by visually highlighting it and preventing the cocking process.
